Booting is the process of transferring the system
programs from ROM or disk to RAM after the computer's power switch is turned
ON.

of two types -
1) Cold Booting
2) Warm
Booting (Hot Booting)
What is Cold Booting ?
The booting
that occurs when the computer is turned on for the first time by turning on the
power switch is called cold booting.
What is Hot Booting ?
When the
computer does not work or the computer hangs while working, the booting done by
pressing the Restart or Reset switch without turning off the Power Switch is
called Hot Booting.
What is Restart ?
Many
computers have a restart button on their cpu. And if not then restart the
computer by pressing keyboard Ctrl + Alt + Del switch together.
